Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 19, 2026

This policy explains what information Las Vegas Family Therapy, LLC, doing business as Las Vegas Counseling Center, and Karen Anderson, MS, LMFT ("we," "us") collect through karenandersonwellness.com and its pages (the "site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the site, our email lists and our coaching, retreat and education offerings. It is written to meet federal law, the Nevada online privacy notice law (NRS 603A.300 to 603A.360) and, for health-related information, Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and Nevada's consumer health data law (NRS 603A.400 to 603A.550).

Health-related information has its own policy. If you contact us about therapy or coaching, book a consultation or tell us anything about your health, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy also applies and explains your additional rights. Therapy records are protected health information under HIPAA and are governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when you become a client, not by this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our website platform and its tools may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies. This helps the site work, stay secure and show us which pages are useful.

The "Find where to begin" guide

Your answers to the guide on our home page stay in your browser. They are not saved, sent to us or shared with anyone.

How we use information

We do not use your information for targeted advertising based on health, and we do not use location tracking or geofencing.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do that work:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply to information already collected.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Third parties that collect information over time

Our website platform and embedded tools (for example, scheduling and subscription widgets) may set their own cookies and may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well without them. The site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common standard for them exists.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry messages and form entries only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and then delete them as part of a regular quarterly review. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe. Records we are legally required to keep are kept for the required period.

How we protect information

We use reputable providers, secure connections, strong passwords and two-step sign-in where available. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

This site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in keeping with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell people on our email list.
