Terms & Disclaimer
Effective and last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms apply to your use of karenandersonwellness.com and its pages (the "site"), our publication A Place to Be Human, our emails, and our educational content. The site is operated by Las Vegas Family Therapy, LLC, doing business as Las Vegas Counseling Center, with services provided by Karen Anderson, MS, LMFT ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Educational content, not therapy
Everything on this site, in our publication, posts, emails, guides, workshops and other educational materials is for general education and reflection. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional who knows your situation. Reading, subscribing, using the "Find where to begin" guide or contacting us does not create a therapist-client relationship.
Therapy and coaching are different services
- Therapy is clinical mental health care provided by Karen Anderson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in Nevada and Washington. It is available only to people located in Nevada or Washington at the time of each session. It begins only after a consultation, intake and signed informed consent, and it is governed by our clinical policies and Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Coaching is a nonclinical service available in all U.S. states. Coaching is not therapy or mental health treatment, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not covered by health insurance. If concerns arise in coaching that call for clinical care, we will refer you to an appropriate licensed professional.
No guarantees
Growth and change depend on many things outside anyone's control. We make no promise of any particular result from our content, programs, coaching, therapy or retreats. Stories, reflections and testimonials shared on the site are personal experiences, not typical or guaranteed outcomes. Client testimonials were shared unsolicited by former clients, and names are removed for privacy.
Programs, retreats and purchases
- Retreats are registered and paid for through Santosha Retreats, under its terms, payment and cancellation policies.
- Programs, workshops and coaching follow the terms, fees and cancellation policy given at the time you enroll or book.
- Cleverly Human products (cleverlyhuman.com) are sold under that shop's own terms, shipping policy and return policy.
- Therapy sessions are booked through Jane and follow our practice policies and fees.
